Houston, TX .. first long family trip!

First stop was Baxter Springs, KS. This would of been a month before the tornado that tore through there. Stayed at the campground on the west edge of town on Spring River. We stopped at the police station to pay the campground, there was conflicting information if they'd come out. (Sorry for the poor quality pics.. old iPhone 4).
The next day headed south. Took a small break in Stroud OK at a park.
    Made it to Texas!
From there it was a long rainy drive to Houston. I'll never forget that drive. The first 2 nights stayed at All Star RV Resort (awesome!! but pricey).. the rest stayed at my wife's sister in the driveway in Houston.
My wife found the Houston CityPass which gives you a great deal on 5 attractions... recommend! The first was the Houston Museum of Natural Science, took most of the day!

Second of the five was the Downtown Aquarium. I didn't get any good shots of the aquarium.. I've improved at least in last few years!
Last stop for the day was one of the malls.. don't recall which! This wasn't part of the mall but outside within a block.
The next day took the trek out to the Houston International Space Center. As a Star Trek fan anything space is downright cool. The kids loved it.
While we were out there went to the Kemah Boardwalk. The kids loved this and I'll admit the boardwalk was neat, the first I'd been on.
Don't think we used all the tickets, went to four on my count but the Museum may of taken more than one. From the Kemah Boardwalk we departed my wife's sister and her family and headed to Galveston for some beach time! Stayed at the Dellanera RV within steps of the beach!
Stayed 2 nights but it was time to go home.. darn! Loved it on the beach!
    Took the ferry back north..
The trip home took us through Louisiana, didn't stop unfortunately! The logging operations were numerous throughout Louisiana. Made it to DeQueen Arkansas that night and stayed at Walmart. Don't recommend staying in Walmarts around rednecks.. mufflers are foreign concept. It was a excellent trip. Don't remember the full route since it's been so long.
