First stop was Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene KS. Overall interesting but the museum was overwhelming with the amount of information available during both his General and Presidential days. Should of drank more coffee that morning! Only a few snapshots we took.. Take the trip it's worth it!
Second stop was the GreyHound Hall of Fame right across the street. It's free of charge but always give back. The history of the sport was interesting. We don't follow the sport but those that do they have a extensive blood line background.
Last find of the day before we watched the Chiefs lose was the World's Largest Spur in Abilene. Located on the fairgrounds.
Good night sun and decent temps..
The next day (Sunday) was a lot of driving! First stop Minneapolis... no we didn't drive to Minnesota! Rock City is outside of Minneapolis to the north 4-5 miles. Plenty of signs can't get lost. Interesting little town besides Rock City.
Next stop was the World's Largest Ball of Twine in Cawker City. Gift shop was closed but for a price you can add to this ball.
Last stop of the day before we headed back to Salina for the night. "Historical Geographical Center of the U.S.A". There's a gift shop in downtown Lebanon KS but couldn't find it!
