Road to Niagara Part 4!

On the last day of July 2015 we set out for Niagara Falls. This is part 4 of the trip.

The trip from Elkhart to Detroit we drove all 2 lane highway, interesting scenary and little towns along the way.
Wonder how many can say they've been to 2 Sturgis in one year?
We were quite beat by the time we got to Detroit so headed straight to Detroit Greenfield RV Park. No complaints, they have a swim area on a good size pond and plenty for the kids to do.
After a good nights rest headed out to Canada with a couple stops before crossing the bridge!
The bridge across...
Make sure you have cash for the bridge, it was around $5 but we can't remember!

Stopped at a cemetery along the way but pretty much drove straight across Canada  to Niagara Falls on the Canada side. We've never ventured across the border so it was an experience. We have a trip planned for 2016 where we'll spend more time up there.
They don't seem to care...
One of the lakes..

Niagara Falls is next in the trip.

Road to Niagara Part 3!

On the last day of July 2015 we set out for Niagara Falls. This is part 3 of the trip.

Made it to the Indiana Dunes in Northern Indiana that night. Unfortunately the campground was full so we had to stay at Sand Creek.. okay but full of Chicago's finest!. The dunes was the first stop on Sunday.
Chicago barely visible across the lake.
The natives!
Stayed there and played on the beach for a few hours and headed east this time towards Elkhart IN. RV lovers knows what this town means! Hence the next stop!
Known several that's owned a Terry travel trailer!
They win! I think..

From Elkhart we headed north to Detroit MI..

On to Indiana Dunes was the next stop on this trip. Click for Part 3!

Road to Niagara Part 1

On the last day of July 2015 we set out for Niagara Falls. This is part 1 of the trip.

Night one was a stay over in Hannibal MO at Mark Twain Cave Campground. Not a bad campground, nice playground with plenty of kids.
"As part of our Nations Bicentennial the Missouri Department of Conservation recognized certain trees throughout Missouri as Liberty Trees. This Burr Oak started as a seedling in 1731 and is included in Famous and Historic Trees of the United States by the Department of Agriculture"

Day two headed toured the town and took in the mighty Mississippi river before heading west.

Was time to head west into Illinois...

Hillsdale State Park Kansas June 26-28 2015

Quick weekend trip, about 65 miles from the house. It was a good weekend!
Worked pretty good. Interesting smell! Purchased at TSC.
The beach!
Rode the bikes from the campground to the beach, wasn't bad.
